A coalition of candidates plans to challenge those designated by the Monroe County Democratic Committee in May. Group members say that they have provided the Monroe County Board of Elections with the information needed to be on the ballot in the fall Primary election.

| The City Council challengers are incumbents Gladys Santiago and John Lightfoot, as well as newcomers Harry Davis, Frank Martin, and Anthony Giordano.
